RESOLVED: That MSMS encourage hospitals and physicians offices to forgo the use of products containing Bisphenol A; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That MSMS recommend to patients to whom they provide care to avoid the use of products containing Bisphenol A; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That MSMS encourage local, state, and national retailers to avoid making available products that contain Bisphenol A.REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee heard extensive testimony about the need for further study of BPA, and urges MSMS to educate members as there is more scientific evidence available from the American Academy of Pediatrics and other credible sources.
