RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to encourage and work with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to establish a program that would return 50 percent of the cost savings to the physician.REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee discussed the difficulties associated with measuring, implementing, and enforcing this proposal. Ultimately, the Committee felt that it was neither a timely nor a viable option.
