RESOLVED: That MSMS continue to work with the AMA to reduce the undue burdenthat HIPAA regulations place on health care workers and patients.RATIONALE: Because the AMA already has policy to work to “alleviate the oppressive, burdensome efforts on physicians of HIPAA” and has an online complaint form to anonymously report HIPAA complaints, the Committee believed that supporting these efforts would achieve the intent of the resolution.
