RESOLVED: That MSMS advocates for expanding access and increasing enrollment in state-funded comprehensive health care coverage to benefit the health and welfare of all Michiganders, regardless of immigration status; and be it further RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the American Medical Association (AMA) urge our AMA to advocate for federal legislation permitting undocumented immigrants with status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program to purchase health insurance from state or federal health insurance exchanges and qualify for federal subsidies if otherwise eligible.
