RESOLVED: That the MSMS seek legislation that would require a standard of gross negligence on all Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act related care. RATIONALE: This resolution is very similar to resolutions that have been brought before the House in the past. Additionally, the Committee heard testimony from physicians who were actively involved in the recent legislative attempts to pass bill that addresses the concerns of this resolution. This issue remains a priority for MSMS.
