RESOLVED: That the MSMS Board of Directors develop a program for MSMSmembers that allocates up to $10,000 per year to physicians to attend political training courses based on a competitive application process.RATIONALE: The Committee agreed that training future leaders within organized medicine is an important investment for MSMS to make. The Committee heard testimony regarding similar programs within specialty societies that have been effective. Therefore, the Committee asked that the Board create a program that is accessible to member physicians and what the expectations are of the members that accept the financial assistance from this program.
