RESOLVED: That MSMS lobby for statewide legislation to impose penalties for adults who smoke in an enclosed space (i.e. indoors or in a vehicle) in the presence of a child.RATIONALE: The Committee had concerns regarding enforcement of compliance and penalties. Therefore, the Committee amended the resolution to create general policy opposing second-hand smoke by working with the current efforts of the Tobacco-Free coalition.
