RESOLVED: That physicians be given tax relief for providing services to the indigent and under-insured.RATIONALE: Resolutions 1-05A and 54-05A were both very similar in their intent to provide relief to physicians who provide charity care. The Committee believed that the language of the substitute resolution allowed for greater flexibility for MSMS to seek the most effective method of creating a tax credit or deduction for physicians.
