RESOLVED: That our AMA lobby the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to approve new Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes for transition of care with adequate high Relative Value Units (RVUs).RATIONALE: The Committee did not believe this to be the most efficient and timely pathway to achieve the author’s goal. Instead, the Committee recommends that the author work with his respective specialty society to make an official request through the appropriate mechanism to the AMA.
