RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to work with the federal government in collaboration with the National Institute of Health to confer wider mandates for the U.S. Office of Research Integrity to monitor and follow up fraud episodes and guide the professionals involved similar to substance abuse recovery programs currently run by state licensing boards.REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: Because the AMA has existing policy addressing the approach to Fraud in Science, the Committee does not feel action on the resolution is necessary.
