RESOLVED: That MSMS ask the AMA to convene a meeting of EMR vendors to propose a method of communications between their EMR systems. RATIONALE: The Committee deleted the phrase “the top five” and replaced “EMR systems” with “EMR vendors.” Testimony on this resolution was very favorable. The Committee felt that the phrase “the top five” was too vague and did not want to limit the number of potential EMR vendor participants.
