RESOLVED: That MSMS members wishing to be included in the Retired membership category be charged annual dues of $50, to be split equally between MSMS and the member's county medical society; and be it further RESOLVED: That future dues levels for Retired MSMS members be determined using the same process by which dues levels for other membership categories are established. RATIONALE: The Committee considered Resolutions 7-11, 8-11, and 40-11 together; however, believed the resolutions warrant more information for consideration to address specific issues about the impact on the county societies, expected loss revenue to MSMS due to a change in membership category, and whether or not prolonging the life membership category would be useful.
