RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to strongly urge health care providers to take an active role in acknowledging the diagnosis of addiction; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That MSMS ask our AMA to partner with organizations such as the American Society of Addiction Medicine to explore the use of medication contracts to monitor the use of prescribed medications in patients with a known history of addiction.
