RESOLVED: That MSMS and the MSMS Foundation establish a Dorothy M. Kahkonen, MD, Memorial Lecture to be presented annually at the MSMS Annual Scientific Meeting; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That a newly established Dorothy M. Kahkonen, MD, Memorial Lecture will address subjects related to diabetes, metabolic diseases and their impact on public health; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That MSMS appoint a team of three practicing physicians to annually determine the subject for a newly established Dorothy M. Kahkonen, MD, Memorial Lecture and identify an expert speaker; and be it further RESOLVED: That by virtue of their long-standing collaborative efforts, Frederick Whitehouse, MD, be considered as the first speaker to present at the initial Dorothy M. Kahkonen, MD, Memorial Lecture.
