RESOLVED: That MSMS work with the state of Michigan and allied state medical societies to allow physician access to any state’s narcotic prescribing databases provided evidence of medical licensure in any state is provided.RATIONALE: The Committee acknowledged that there is an ongoing effort, National All Schedules Prescription Electronic Reporting (NASPER), to enable cross state access. The Committee amended the resolution to recognize licensure in any state versus adjoining state to be consistent with the current NASPER initiative.
