RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to work with the American Diabetes Association and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and other appropriate organizations to investigate the best methods to address the high cost and availability of insulin for uninsured and underinsured patients with diabetes.RATIONALE: The Committee heard testimony from the author and others about how the cost and availability of insulin is negatively affecting how patients manage their diabetes care.
