RESOLVED: That MSMS assign a committee to investigate how physician utilization of health care resources impacts the cost of health care in Michigan and address the ways to optimize utilization in order to reduce the cost of health care. REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee recognizes the opportunity to address the judicious use of health care costs as part of current activities being undertaken as part of the Future of Medicine.
