RESOLVED: That MSMS join with local environmental groups to educate the public about the new risk of mercury-containing compact fluorescent bulbs to their homes and the surrounding environment. REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee removed the second resolved portion, determining that while this is a laudable goal, MSMS must prioritize its dedication of resources regarding pursuit of legislation. Instead, the Committee amended the resolution to encourage collaboration with environmental groups to achieve this goal.
