RESOLVED: That MSMS supports the use of buccal smears to help identify drivers who might be under the influence of a substance that could adversely affect their driving ability; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That MSMS seek and/or support legislation that would require drivers to submit to an oral buccal test in the same manner that they are required to submit to an alcohol breathalyzer test if they are stopped and appear to be driving under the influence of substances that may adversely affect their driving ability.

Fiscal Note: $25,000 or more as this resolution directs MSMS to pursue legislative advocacy.
