RESOLVED: that the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) work with the Michigan legislature to repeal current law and replace it with new legislation to assist parents and newborns in Michigan, clarify parenting rights, and support compensated surrogacy options;; and be it further RESOLVED: As SB 1082 (2018) accomplished these goals that MSMS work with the legislature to reintroduce it or similar legislation.
