RESOLVED: That our AMA lobby the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and other national payers to reimburse those billing code 99080 for filling out various forms requested by patients; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That our MSMS lobby statewide payers to reimburse those billing code 99080 for filling out various forms requested by patients.RATIONALE: Because a CPT code for filling out forms already exists, but is rarely paid by CMS or other payers, the Committee amended the resolveds to direct the AMA and MSMS to advocate for payment by national and state payers, respectively.
