RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to seek legislation to support and establish a model employment contract, that includes dueprocess protection, specific to J-1 Visa Waiver physicians. REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee heard testimony regarding abuses of physicians within the Conrad-30 program. The concern was that without due process J-1 Visa waiver physicians would be immediately deported to their country of origin.
