RESOLVED: That MSMS vehemently oppose the distribution and sale of dissolvable tobacco products in Michigan; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That MSMS seek legislation that would ban the distribution and sales of dissolvable tobacco products in the state of Michigan.REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee heard a great deal of supportive testimony and encourages MSMS to collaborate with Smoke-Free Michigan and other groups to achieve this goal. The Committee notes that Resolution 8-09A calls for a tax on dissolvable tobacco which is a second best solution behind a total ban.
