RESOLVED: That MSMS advocate that health care providers can meet maintenance of certification (MOC) requirements set by any public or private entity (including the healthcare provider’s licensing board, health insurance carriers, or health care institutions/hospitals) after achieving initial board certification by complying with the MOC standards set by either the American Board of Medical Specialties and its affiliated Boards or the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons.
