RESOLVED: That the Michigan Delegation to the AMA ask the AMA to seek a new CPT code(s) for advance directive counseling. REFERENCE COMMITTEE RATIONALE: The Committee removed the first resolved portion of the resolution based on testimony of current AMA policy supporting payment for physicians to obtain advance directives from patients at the doctors’ offices. The new amended resolved specifies the original author’s intent.
