RESOLVED: That MSMS evaluate and implement multiple measures including, but not limited to, physician education and patient education that will increase the number of Michigan citizens age 18 and older with an advance directive.RATIONALE: The Committee was very supportive of this resolution, but made an amendment to ensure that this resolution was not only evaluated, but put into practice. The updated End-of-Life care booklet addresses the overall issue stated in this resolution. Dissemination of the new End-of-Life booklet to all members was suggested.
