RESOLVED: That the MSMS support the continued research into the effectiveness and feasibility of alternative sources of GME funding; and be it further RESOLVED: That the MSMS support the adoption of an all-payer fund that would distribute the cost of training physicians across Medicare, Medicaid, and private health insurance plans; and be it further RESOLVED: That the MSMS amend the policy “Medicaid Funding for Graduate Medical Education” to read: “MSMS supports increased funding for GME by Medicaid.”RATIONALE: The Committee added the word “funding” for clarification.
