RESOLVED: That MSMS form a task force of primary care physicians and specialists to investigate the ethical and legal concerns of practicing e-medicine without the establishment of a physician/patient relationship; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That MSMS consult with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and other insurers to withhold covering e-medicine services absent a physician/patient relationship until they are properly reviewed and aired by the medical community in this state, specifically MSMS; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That MSMS, through its Representatives on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Board, express its concern over e-medicine practices that lack a physician/patient relationship; and be it furtherRESOLVED: That MSMS bring ethical and legal concerns over the practice of e-Medicine without an established physician/patient relationship to the various state provider oversight and licensing boards.
