CME Credit for COVID-19

Wednesday, April 1, 2020

Executive Order 2020-82 states that “effective immediately and continuing through June 9, 2020 at 11:59 pm, LARA may recognize hours worked responding to the COVID-19 emergency as hours toward continuing education courses or programs required for licensure.” As a MSMS member, physicians may choose to complete this survey describing what you learned from the COVID-19 emergency and submit to the MSMS Education department where we will issue CME credit.

Please only claim hours worked directly responding to the COVID 19 emergency. This would include: research, reading articles, listening to podcasts, discussing plans and direct clinical care of COVID 19 patients.

YOU MUST COMPLETE THE SURVEY FULLY and thoroughly document what you learned or we cannot issue CME credit. Incomplete surveys cannot be processed.

Please submit a new survey for each DAY spent responding to COVID-19.

SUBMIT YOUR HOURS NOW

The dates applicable are only per the Governor of Michigan’s Executive Order (currently March 17, 2020 – June 9 2020). All hours must be submitted by June 23, 2020. CME certificates will be processed at the closure of the submission period (currently June 23, 2020).   For questions, please contact Brenda Marenich at 517-336-7580.
