The availability of datasets and guidance from federal health websites such as those hosted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) remains in limbo following Executive Orders issued by President Trump on January 20, 2025. Shortly thereafter, numerous webpages were removed and banners added to CDC webpages stating “CDC’s website is being modified to comply with President Trump’s Executive Orders.” Despite US District Judge John D. Bates granting a temporary restraining order on February 11 and the reappearance of some webpages, it remains unknown whether all data and guidance will be reposted and in what format – original or modified.

In addition to clinical guidelines and other timely information available through national specialty organizations, the American Medical Association’s AMA Update video series “covers a range of health care topics affecting the lives of physicians, residents, medical students and patients.” The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services “Keeping Michigan Healthy” website also provides resources on a variety of critical health issues that may be of assistance.
