Bobby Mukkamala, MD, a Flint otolaryngologist, was elected to a one-year term as Chair of the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) Board of Directors during the 151st annual meeting of the MSMS House of Delegates on May 1 in Dearborn.

Doctor Mukkamala will serve a one-year term as chair on the 39-member MSMS Board of Directors. The 39-member MSMS Board of Directors sets policies and oversees operations for the 15,000-member medical society headquartered in East Lansing.

Doctor Mukkamala, who earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, also serves on the board of the Crim Fitness Foundation in the Flint area and as a member of the Community Foundation of Flint Board of Trustees.
