In an attempt to streamline the maternal death reporting process, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has revised the mandatory maternal death reporting form to include an email submission option.

Although these email submissions will be 100% secure once they reach its system, it encourages that any protected health information sent to their email be encrypted prior to submission.
