Anna Kang, a student at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, was elected to the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) Board of Directors as the student representative during the 157th annual meeting of the MSMS House of Delegates held in Kalamazoo on April 30th.
Kang is currently in her third year at Wayne State University School of Medicine (WSUSOM) and is set to begin her first clerkship at Detroit Receiving Hospital. She is the former vice president of WSUSOM’s Hematology-Oncology Peer Education (HOPE) Group, and currently serves as a Student Researcher in Doctor Charles Day’s Orthopedic research group at Henry Ford Health System. Kang is also a member of the Wayne County Medical Society of Southeast Michigan.
The Michigan State Medical Society is the statewide professional association operating as the voice of all physicians in Michigan and is affiliated with the American Medical Association. Physician policies on various issues involving public health, health care delivery and medical ethics are set at the annual MSMS House of Delegates meeting.
