Join the Wayne County Medical Society Virtual Health Conference on Thursday, March 6th, from 6-8pm, and explore the “State of the County 2025.” Special guest Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian, Michigan's Chief Medical Executive, will provide opening remarks.

This virtual conference will discuss the 10 leading causes of death in Wayne County, covering trends over the past 5 years and highlighting improvements, challenges, and stability. Dr. Latonya Riddle-Jones will present, with insights from Dr. Claudia Richardson (Detroit Health Department) and Dr. Avani Sheth (Wayne County Health Department). Dr. Ijeoma Nnodim Opara will then address the Social Determinants of Health. Finally, Dr. James Blessman will present on "Other Considerations in Health Status Monitoring," focusing on metrics like health span and metabolic syndrome.
