Thomas M. George, MD, Interim CEO, will deliver a State of MSMS Address to the membership on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 7:00 – 8:00 PM EST. As a long-time MSMS member, former state legislator, and practicing physician, Doctor George is providing expert leadership to ensure the association is meeting the needs of its members while also building organizational sustainability for future success. Doctor George will provide an update on MSMS priorities for the coming months.

He will be joined by M. Salim U. Siddiqui, MD, PhD, the new 158th MSMS President who will share his plans as President. Doctor Siddiqui is a board-certified radiation oncologist. Prior to his term as MSMS president, he served two, two-year, terms as the Young Physician Representative to the MSMS Board of Directors, a position he was first elected to in 2015 and then again in 2017. Doctor Siddiqui is a member of the Henry Ford Medical Group and is affiliated with Henry Ford Health. He served as President of the Wayne County Medical Society of Southeast Michigan (WCMSSM) from 2019 to 2020 and currently serves on the WCMSSM Board of Directors.
