A goal of logging 3 million blood pressure checks has been set, and your help to reach that goal — and ultimately save lives — is needed.

With nearly 1 in 2 Americans suffering from high blood pressure, the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Medical Association (AMA) is collaborating with the World Hypertension League to support their “Know Your Numbers” campaign in recognition of National High Blood Pressure Education Month. Measuring blood pressure regularly is an important part of keeping high blood pressure controlled. Also, many people with high blood pressure don’t even know they have it. That’s why as many people as possible needs to be encouraged to get a blood pressure check.

In order to make this goal, your support in encouraging your patients to check their blood pressure or come in for overdue checkups is needed. Please share these user-friendly blood pressure tools that can help your patients learn more about their numbers and how to keep them on track.

To help reach the 3 million goal, clinics can share blood pressure check totals easily by submitting online by May 31 at
