Presented in collaboration with Integrity CE, LLC, MSMS is pleased to bring Stella Lee, MD, to discuss the latest advancements in managing Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP).

Stella Lee, MD, Section Chief, Rhinology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts

Individuals with chronic rhinosinusitis frequently experience nasal polyps, a condition known as CRSwNP, which can significantly impact their overall well-being.  The prevalence of CRSwNP is substantial, affecting a considerable portion of the general population and a significant subset of individuals diagnosed with chronic rhinosinusitis.  Persistent nasal congestion, post-nasal drip, anosmia (loss of smell), and nasal discharge are common and debilitating symptoms of CRSwNP, significantly diminishing an individual's quality of life.

Key topics will include patient evaluation, treatment planning and patient selection criteria for surgical or biologic treatment, and strategies for the appropriate use of biologics in patients with CRSwNP.

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Accurately evaluate disease severity in patients with CRSwNP.
  • Create treatment plans that implement appropriate biologic or surgical treatment options for patients with CRSwNP.
  • Describe strategies to overcome barriers to effective use of biologic therapies in the treatment of appropriate patients with CRSwNP.
