CRNA Scope Expansion Vote Expected Soon - Contact Your Senator Today

Wednesday, May 26, 2021

On May 20, 2021, The Senate Health Policy and Human Services Committee held their first hearing on House Bill 4359, dangerous legislation that would expand the scope of practice for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).  Under the bill, nurses who administer anesthetics would no longer be required to be supervised by a physician and would be solely responsible for the entire anesthesia plan and the administration of related care.

The Senate Health Policy and Human Services Committee is planning to hold a vote as soon as next week, and we need your help.  It is imperative that the Michigan Senate hear from physicians in their communities about the dangers of this legislation, so please contact your Senator today and urge them to preserve safe patient care by opposing House Bill 4359.
