Michael Genord, MD, MBA, a former member of the Michigan State Medical Society and the Oakland County Medical Society Board of Directors, was named president and CEO of the Flint-based health insurer, HealthPlus of Michigan. Doctor Genord will be the first physician CEO of HealthPlus of Michigan.

Doctor Genord, who had been chief medical officer, was previously in private practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist in Royal Oak.
