One-Stop Shop for Physicians, Health Care Providers Aims to Boost Economy, Patient Access to the Physicians They Need

The Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) today proudly unveiled MSMS Medical Opportunities, a dynamic new resource to connect healthcare providers with professionals in search of new jobs. Also known as MSMS MedOpps, this program acts as a one-stop shop for both physicians looking for a job and healthcare providers searching for strong candidates for their open positions. Free for job seekers, potential candidates can enter their credentials and are matched with jobs they qualify for. Employers can also post job opportunities on the site as well. Medical Opportunities was originally founded and is currently operated by the Michigan Health Council, an organization founded in 1943 by the Michigan State Medical Society. The program delivers a customized matching algorithm connecting their database of thousands of candidates with the available opportunities for which they are best qualified. "We are excited about this new partnership and the opportunity to deliver cost-effective recruiting and position matching solutions to MSMS members," said Melanie Brim, President and CEO, the Michigan Health Council.
