The Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) Foundation will present its 55th annual Joseph S. Moore, MD, Conference on Maternal and Perinatal Health on Thursday, May 19 at The Somerset Inn, Troy. Physicians, nurses, and other health care professional will hear experts from Michigan and across the nation address the following issues:

• Legislative initiatives impacting maternal and child care
• Maternal morbidity
• Baby Friendly® Initiative
• Drug addiction in pregnancy
• Drug-dependent babies
• Working with Children's Protective Services

The MSMS Foundation 55th Annual Joseph S. Moore, MD, Conference on Maternal and Perinatal Health is designed to provide all health care providers from around the state who have special emphasis on improving care for mothers and their children. This conference is designed to provide up-to-date, evidence-based information on commonly encountered issues related to maternal and perinatal health. During the meeting, state and national experts present new multidisciplinary research, address practice gaps and needs in their specialty, and network with colleagues. Programming is planned for health care professionals by physicians. The 55th Annual Joseph S.
