"Physicians can use this information to help their patients identify resources and opportunities to help them to become more physically active. Patients sometimes think they have to spend a lot of money on health clubs or equipment, but that's not the case. Doctors can discuss with them simple ways to incorporate physical activity into their daily lives, like walking up the stairs instead of using the elevator, for instance. It's true that we drive everywhere now, watch more television, so it's important that physicians encourage low-cost, simple ways for their patients to get moving."
