House of Delegates Resolution Deadline March 11

The deadline for resolutions to be considered at the 144th annual MSMS House of Delegates meeting is Wednesday, March 11.  Resolutions submitted after that date will be considered late resolutions.  Late resolutions will not be included in the delegates' handbook, but will be considered for inclusion by the Committee on Rules and Order of Business. 

Delegates may send resolutions to MSMS by email to jkmiller@msms.org, by fax to 517-337-2490 or by mail to MSMS at 120 W. Saginaw, East Lansing, MI 48823.

The House of Delegates meeting will be Friday, April 24, to Sunday, April 26, at the Amway Grand Plaza.  Detroit diagnostic radiologist Michael A. Sandler, MD, will conclude his year as president and Detroit obstetrician/gynecologist Richard E. Smith, MD, will be installed as president.

Educational sessions at the House of Delegates will include one on various types of stem cell research and another on approaches to a single payer system.  AMA Board of Trustees member Robert M. Wah, MD, a nationally recognized expert in health information technology, will be among the guest speakers.
