Nuts and Bolts of Non-physician Practitioners (NPP)
Additional Information

Non-physician Practitioners (NPP), particularly Physician Assistants (PA) and Certifi ed Nurse Practitioners (CNP) continue to increase their presence in the medical offi ce and hospital setting for patient care. Understanding “incident to” and “direct” billing are just a part the material covered in this program. Carrier differences in the interpretation of supervised services are ever changing and good base knowledge of Medicare’s policy in addition to major carriers is a must in compliant billing for these non-physician services. Tips and strategies for your practice with the differing carrier guidelines, whether you currently have an NPP or are considering the addition of a NPP, will be covered. Presented by Jill Young, CPC, CEDC, CIMC, this course will provide participants with an understanding of how to accurately and successfully bill when a heath care provider, other than a physician, provides health care services.
