Health Insurance 101
Additional Information

Front offi ce staff and new billers can benefi t from this basic insurance course that will provide a better understanding of health insurance plans as well as injury related coverage like workers’ compensation, No-Fault Auto and other liability situations. Staff will learn how to review insurance cards, check eligibility, check coverage and the important role that insurance verifi cation plays in a successful practice. This course, presented by LuAnn Jenkins, CPC, CEMC, CFPC, will help participants: Learn the difference between PPO, HMO, and traditional plans; Identify and understand Medicare Advantage plans; Know the coordination of benefit rules; and Understand the importance of identifying injury related conditions.
 
 
Fees:   $125.00 for MSMS & MMGMA members; $175.00 for non-members
